Hot Spring Elopement

Viridiana and Troy had an amazing hot spring elopement in Colorado. They were coming from Utah to elope in the mountains of Colorado. They wanted big mountain views and a small mountain town feeling for their wedding day. They are big water fans so wanted a water feature in their day.

So, I recommend a hot spring elopement for their day.

I made plans for them to elope in the San Juan Mountains as I knew of some beautiful river locations and secret hot springs. They loved the idea plus it wasn’t too far for them to drive to from Utah compared to other areas in Colorado.

We made a plan to have them get ready on the trail instead of starting at their Airbnb. As they wanted to get ready in the woods before their first look. There were so many pine trees that allowed them to get ready before their first look in an open field.

After their first look, we hiked down to a river where they said their vows, had some beers to celebrate, and explored the area before hiking back to their car. We drove down the road to an area where we could set up their picnic facing the mountains.

Viridiana and Troy brought a charcuterie board and a small wedding cake to eat before they had their first dance.

Then we headed over to a private and secret hot spring to end their day at sunset. They got changed near the hot springs into their swimwear. They had a few more beers and had some joints while they relaxed in the hot springs with the mountains in the background. It was a beautiful and unique way to get married!

If you are looking to have a 420 friendly session on your elopement day, I recommend having it at the end so you aren’t tired/get the munchies/etc if you have to hike back down the mountain.
